I bought myself a bottle of Australia’s own ‘Manuka Honey’ a couple of weeks back. It turns out that Manuka honey comes from the plant we call ‘Tea Tree’ in Australia. The lovely folk over at Honey Delight produce an Active Honey from Tea Tree that has therapeutic antibacterial qualities. With my health so fragile these days, I’m always keen for value foods like this. I’ve been using it in this delicious smoothie, packed with the added nutritional value of malt extract, the antioxidants of cocoa and the total goodness of those lovely lady finger bananas they sell at the Capital Region Farmers Market. It’s important you choose a yoghurt with live cultures to get the most value from this delicious smoothie.

This sounds delicious and nutritious. Love Carmen and Todd’s honey. I think it’s the best I’ve ever tasted and the active honey is so good for you!
